Dry season runs April to October across most of Indonesia, and rates follow it closely. Two dates to plan around: the July–August peak, and Nyepi in Bali (19 March 2026), when the island closes for a full day.

•July–August — peak. Bali and the Gilis run 30–60% above their annual average. Book 6–8 weeks ahead.

•Christmas / New Year — the sharpest spike of the year in Bali, often with minimum-stay requirements attached.

•May–June and September — the value window. Dry-season weather at close to shoulder pricing.

•November–March — wet season. Bali discounts 20–40%; Flores dive resorts and Rinjani trekking largely shut down rather than discount.

•Nyepi (Balinese Day of Silence) — 19 March in 2026. The island stops entirely and Ngurah Rai Airport closes for 24 hours. Hotels stay open but nobody leaves the property. Price it as a lost travel day.
